Import a recording

1. On the Meetings page, click the upload button at the bottom right of the list. The command palette (Ctrl+K) has the same action, Import a recording.
2. Pick a file: mp3, wav, m4a, aac, or mp4.

A progress screen tracks transcription. Continue in background lets you keep using the app.

The import goes through the same pipeline as a live recording: embral separates the voices, writes the transcript, and generates the summary. The meeting’s date comes from the file’s modified time, and its title starts as the filename. Both are editable afterward.

Imports transcribe on your device, so they need the local speech model even if you use cloud processing for live meetings.
