Record a meeting

Start

Click Record at the top of the sidebar. If you set a record hotkey in Settings, it works from anywhere, even with the window hidden. embral can also start recordings by itself when it notices a call. See Turn on automatic recording.

During the meeting

The live view puts your notes on the left and the live transcript on the right. The notes editor has focus when the view opens, so you can start typing at once. embral stores whatever you write with the meeting and treats it as the strongest input to the summary.

• Press Ctrl+S, or click the star in the header, to star a moment. Stars mark the transcript and the audio timeline, and clicking one later jumps there.
• The Sources picker in the header controls which apps and microphones feed the recording.
• The pause button suspends capture. Paused time doesn’t count toward the timer.
• The shadow mode toggle next to pause hides the transcript and the meter while you share your screen.

You can leave the live view and use the rest of the app without touching the recording.

Stop

Click the square stop button in the header. embral returns you to the Meetings list, where the new meeting appears with its transcript ready. The audio player shows up next, then the summary and a title. If you typed a title during the meeting, yours wins.
